About Assam

Assam is in northeastern India and is one of the seven sister states, connected to the rest of the country by a narrow corridor. Known for its lush tea gardens and humid, tropical climate, Assam offers ideal conditions for tea cultivation. The region produces some of the strongest and maltiest black teas in the world, often with undertones of dried fruit, biscuit, and a touch of golden honey.

Our Assam English Breakfast is blended from tea gardens throughout the region. The tea plants thrive in the flat, fertile plains of Assam, nourished by the floodwaters of the Brahmaputra River.
